Hereford Guild of Mayor’s Guides are offering care homes across the area reminiscence sessions that use historic and contemporary photographs of Hereford to boost residents’ wellbeing and memory recall.

The sessions, which run for between 45 minutes and an hour, centre on a curated selection of images showing key locations around the city — past and present. Facilitators use the photographs as a starting point to draw residents into conversation, encouraging them to share memories of growing up in Hereford, raising families here, and revisiting favourite places and experiences.

Session length can be adjusted to suit individual homes and the needs of their residents, with organisers happy to discuss requirements in advance.
